Looks like Megan Fox won't be in the upcoming Transformers 3, according to Deadline.com. Officially, Paramount Pictures has not picked up the option to have Fox appear in the summer 2011 release, but sources say it was "ultimately" director Michael Bay's choice not to bring Fox back.

This doesn't really come as a surprise, given the back-and-forth between Fox and Bay, with Fox comparing Bay to Hitler in an interview with Wonderland magazine, saying he was a "nightmare to work for."

That led to an open letter by three unnamed members of the Transformers crew, slamming Fox's behavior on the set and calling her "dumb as a rock." Bay later came out and said "I don't condone the crew letter to Megan. And I don't condone Megan's outlandish quotes. But her crazy quips are part of her crazy charm. The fact of the matter is I still love working with her, and I know we still get along. I even expect more crazy quotes from her on Transformers 3."

Obviously, things haven't improved. Bay and Ehren Kruger have written a new love interest for star Shia LeBeouf into the third movie's script and Bay will begin casting the role soon.

Bay is set to be on the lookout for a sexy replacement. Both he and the franchise should be just fine.
